rosie moon

Picture
Rosie studied baroque and modern double bass with Peter Buckoke while she was a student at Royal College of Music. In the UK, she worked with Laurence Cummings and Adrien Butterfield in the London Handel Festival and played regularly with the Britten Pears Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Richard Egarr and Pavlo Besnosiuk (violone). She has worked with many players from the English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestra of the Age of Enligntment around the UK, and still returns to play with the Florilegium Ensemble and The International Baroque Players. Rosie is a member of the 'Early Music Experiment', an ensemble which focuses on performing contemporary works with period instruments.

Rosie is currently studying for her Masters on modern double bass at Geneva conservatoire with Alberto Bocini and Mirella Vedeva. She regularly attends Masterclasses with Maestro Petracchi in both Italy and Geneva and enjoys working on period instruments in both Switzerland and France.
